Hello. Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Marie and I am a dedicated private tutor with over ten years experience teaching English and French to all ages and levels.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience teaching English as a Foreign Language across all levels from beginners to advanced as well as preparing students for exams such as FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS.

In addition to the above, I teach French and English at secondary and GCSE levels and am familiar with most exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I feel that my main strength is being able to understand the needs of the students. My enthusiasm for teaching and developing materials allows me to create resources that are specific to the learner’s needs. Being responsible for creating materials has given me the confidence to practically and effectively apply a range of theories and teaching practices. Teaching a broad range of learners from diverse cultural backgrounds has benefited me greatly. This is now reflected in my communicative teaching style, which I approach with an open mind, flexibility, motivation and sensitivity.
