I am committed to supporting students overcome barriers to learning, as well as teaching life long skills. I have full QTS (via. Primary PGCE) but my expertise is in SEN, Autism and SEMH.
I am currently part of SMT (Senior Management Team) at a special needs school in North London. I also teach a KS3 (11-14 years old) class where the majority of students have a diagnosis of autism, and other social, emotional and communication needs.
I have a varied skillset: I have taught most year groups in mainstream primary school (inc. SATs preparation), have taught English as a foreign language (TEFL) to 7 to 17 year olds, and I am currently working in a special needs secondary school. In my current role I have led on various curriculum (inc. accreditation) and assessment developments.
When tutoring, I take a flexible approach to meet the needs of the individual student. As well as good learning outcomes, I also focus on building independence, confidence and resilience. With each student I tutor, I work with them (and the parents/carer) to create a 'individualised programme' to achieve the above.
I am happy to offer the first session at a 50% discounted rate to ensure nothing but confidence and satisfaction with the service I provide.
