I am a qualified Maths and Computer Science teacher with over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience with outstanding results in variety of settings: classroom teaching, 1:1 and group tutoring, face to face and online.
I love working with mild special needs children, like ADHD and autistic children with whom I achieved amazing improvement in their performance.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in secondary schools up to sixth form and in post 16 education and I also did tutoring on the side or full time since 2007. Currently I tutor online via Zoom though in some cases I can also agree to face to face.

Tutoring Approach

Sessions normally take place online via Zoom. An initial assessment takes place to understand the level of the student. This takes place during the initial session after which a plan on how to continue forward is agreed between me and the parents/guardians of the child. Although a good enough understanding of the child is obtained after the initial session, sometimes, especially in the case of SEN, one or more extra sessions will provide more clarity about the abilities of the student and will create a better working report between the tutor and the child.
The sessions are carefully planned to meet the needs and the abilities of the student. No other student has the same lesson plan. Homework is set every week and the child receives feedback in the next session. Children are being encouraged the send the completed homework to me in advance via email. Regular feedback is being provided to the the parents or guardians of the students.
