Hi, I am a first year student at the University of Sussex completing a Msci in Biochemistry. I have a passion for the sciences and find them really interesting and fascinationg. I hope to help students understand the subjects more so they can develop more of an understanding and in turn enjoy the topics they learn about more.
I have mentored a number of year three and four students for maths using games to keep them interested and worksheets to ensure they stay on track. Also in the summer of 2016 i helped a student gain entry to grammer school by working on his maths, verbal and non verbal skills using a variety of excersices and tests.
I tutor in way that is dependant on the age of the student. If at a primary school age will be more game based so to engage the child more but ensure they are learning. For under GCSE age i will go through excercises and worked examples using work the teacher has set and excersice books so that they understand what their teachers have taught them so that they can use the same technique for any follow on classes. For A-level i would say i am best specified to AQA chemistry beacuse that is the one i sat and therefore have a better understanding of what the examiners need, i would go through notes to highlight key areas of not misunderstandibg then using question form the text book or other resources go through questions together.
