I am a talented and inspiring Chinese (Mandarin) language teacher. I have been enjoying teaching in the UK for over two years and I have gained excellent testimonials.
I understand the priorities and challenges that my students face in learning a foreign language which is very different to their mother tongues. My specialisation in the teaching of Mandarin is designing structured and logical material and various activities in order to make learning enjoyable and achievable. Each of my courses is tailored to needs of the students, beginning with developing their Individual Learning Plan and defining their Personal Learning Style. I also encourage my students to provide feedback and assessment of each lesson so that I can monitor my delivery methods as I am always looking for ways to improve and maintain high quality.
As a native mainland Chinese, I am not only a Chinese language expert, but I also have a broad understanding of Chinese culture and philosophy, history, tradition and customs. I have worked as an invited live radio broadcaster in China and I have been invited to present a lecture at the City University of Hong Kong. I have published 4 books in China – including “Practical English for western restaurants and bars’. I am currently preparing material with the goal of writing Mandarin Learning books. This will be based on my course materials and handouts which I have developed to cover young learners, adults and professionals.
I have extensive working experience with Chinese government, industry associations, media, foreign embassies and chambers in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Indonesia, therefore I can integrate business and ICT into my teaching.
I have good communication, organisation, planning and management skills and I have a sense of humour.
My rate is based on 1 to 1 tuition. For group, it is differ to group.
