Personal Description:
I am a friendly, passionate and hard working person with a keen eye for research. I am currently a second year history student at the University of Warwick. Prior to this, I studied a levels in maths, history and chemistry where I achieved 3 As, as well as GCSEs where I gained 8 A*s and 2 As. I thoroughly enjoyed completing both my GCSEs and A levels and believe this will make me a very enthusiastic tutor.
Tutoring Experience:
On several occasions, I have helped family friends with various subject related issues at both GCSE and A level which has given me some tutoring experience. I am currently developing a great degree of skills in seminars at university, often having to explain subjects I have researched to my peers. I also have teaching experience due to volunteering at the local primary school for many years frequently helping the teacher organise lessons and motivate the children. Additionally, I was an ambassador and buddy reader at my sixth form where I learned valuable skills in being patient and organised.
Tutoring Approach:
Every student is different and after the first meeting I will organise lessons based on the student. Having only attended secondary school 3 years ago it gives me a fresher understanding of how frustrating and difficult it can be. Therefore, I aim to be a patient and persevering tutor. I will conduct bountiful research before every lesson to ensure I have all the information and technique required to make it the easiest it can be for the student.
