This is how 2 referees rated Luz:
I am a Latin-american currently working and living in Scotland with my Glaswegian husband.
I love cooking Mexican food, reading, going out for tapas and sharing my Hispanic heritage with people.
I am available to travel to the tutee as long as there is a direct train and a nearby train station.
I first started teaching Spanish for the Council of Education in France after receiving a grant as a Spanish language and culture assistant for primary school and high school in Montpellier.
I have also worked in Spanish summer camps in Barcelona as a language counsellor for NACEL and Pueblo Español.
I currently hold a part-time position as a university tutor in Glasgow for the Hispanic Studies department and the Languages Centre.
The main goal of learning a language should be to communicate and interact which is why this is my main focus. Teaching even the most formal bits of grammar should be done in a communicative way so that the student can start using the language and understanding naturally.
Before the first class, I will ask about your reasons for learning Spanish so that I can structure a programme with the aim of satisfying your needs and providing structure to the learning process. I hope that we can work together! ¡Muchas gracias!
