Luke : I Graduated from UWIC, Cardiff in 2007 with a degree in Primary
Education, specialising in Mathematics. I have since taught for a year at a high achieving
Primary school called Orchid Vale in North Swindon and have been at St Luke's
Secondary School as Maths, ICT and Science co-ordinator for over 5 years.
Worked as Deputy Headteacher for a term before becoming a full-time tutor.
During my experiences I have taught outstanding lessons (observed on many occasions and by the Local Authority) with many pupils achieving SAT and GCSE results they didn't think that they previously
could. I am 'dyslexia friendly' trained and have a good experience and knowledge base
of the Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
I am a qualified teacher and have had lots of experience teaching to high levels and have delivered "outstanding" (according to the ofsted criteria) lessons on a number of occasions. Making sure that my lessons meet each individual pupil's needs and abilities is a must for any good tutor. I ensure that each lesson is well prepared and structured with individual lesson plans used to suit the needs of the learner.
My centre gives pupils access to up-to-date resources, books, activities and computer facilities with a range of software. This combined with innovative teaching techniques ensures accelerated learning opportunities for all.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for a chat about how best I can meet the needs of your child.

Thank you for your feedback.
It is wonderful to hear that your Granddaughter is doing well with her Maths study.
I rang the number ( spoke to a lady) and the number was then told he was unable to help as he already had others he was tutoring. I was the given a number of another tutor ( from another company).
So after paying £19.99 I'm very disappointed with the service. All I needed was a short term course just to give my son some pointers so he was get his GCSE English.
Thank you for your feedback.
I am sorry that we were unable to help you on this occasion. Given the last minute request, we were not able find a space with a tutor over the half term period. We offered details of an alternative tuition business as a possible solution. We are happy to arrange a refund on this occasion.
Many thanks again
We saw him my daughter has settled very
Quickly and enjoys her lessons and already
Her convidence has lifted fantastic teachers also … Thank Luke
He was very informative at our initial meeting with how we can help Toby with his learning
Toby thought both Luke and John were cool (always useful to engage a young mans interest to learn more )
When we accepted Luke as tutor to our request, his previous feedback and rating was a significant contribution to our selection. It was only after paying the introduction fee and attending the initial assessment that we were told, due to demand, Luke was not able to directly tutor our son but that alternative tutors of a comparable skillset/experince would be assigned.
However, our son is enjoying the sessions and the alternative tutors are very pleasant, engaging and experienced.
Would I recommend? Yes, but would have preferred the Service I ordered, not comparable replacements.
Thanks for the feedback. As discussed with your wife and then yourself, I understand what you mean by not having myself but have been transparent about the situation from the offset. You bought my details from First Tutors before confirming my availability. Saying that, I'm glad that Matt is enjoying his sessions and I can see that he's progressing well.
Luke is approachable and clear and a pleasure to deal with.
(Annie seems to be getting on very well and enjoying her sessions. I have noticed her writing is much better)
My daughter came out with a big smile on her face & said she really enjoyed it !!
I would recommend Luke to any parent who felt their child needed some help.
