My aim is to raise confidence and develop independence and achievement in education through fun, well structured and personalised lessons.
I love football, travel (particularly The States and Western Australia), food (lots of) and taking my 3 year old on day trips! I also own a speciality coffee shop/bar called BAILA coffee and vinyl.
Luke Wareham: I Graduated from UWIC, Cardiff in 2007 with a degree in Primary
Education, specialising in Mathematics. I have since taught for a year at a high achieving
Primary school called Orchid Vale in North Swindon and have been at St Luke's
Secondary School as Maths, ICT and Science co-ordinator for over 5 years.
Worked as Deputy Headteacher for a term before becoming a full-time tutor.
During my experiences I have taught outstanding lessons (observed on many occasions and by the Local Authority) with many pupils achieving SAT and GCSE results they didn't think that they previously
could. I am 'dyslexia friendly' trained and have a good experience and knowledge base
of the Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
I am a qualified teacher and have had lots of experience teaching to high levels and have delivered "outstanding" (according to the ofsted criteria) lessons on a number of occasions. Making sure that my lessons meet each individual pupil's needs and abilities is a must for any good tutor. I ensure that each lesson is well prepared and structured with individual lesson plans used to suit the needs of the learner.
My centre gives pupils access to up-to-date resources, books, activities and computer facilities with a range of software. This combined with innovative teaching techniques ensures accelerated learning opportunities for all.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for a chat about how best I can meet the needs of your child.
