I am 21 and currently going in to my second year at Sunderland University doing Spanish. I lived in Spain for 5 years, and am now fluent with a very strong grasp of both the language and accent. I love speaking Spanish and spend a lot of my summers in Spain, allowing me to maintain a high level of Spanish speaking ability.
I do not have any formal teaching experience as I am still going through the education system. However, personally I believe this plays to my favour as much as my disadvantage: I am very conscious of how the system works having recently experienced it myself. While most teachers have more experience, I will more easily relate to your son or daughter and may therefore be more approachable and relatable than an older tutor.
I see myself as a coach or a speaking partner rather than a teacher. I believe that to improve with your Spanish you need to be using it more often, whether it be speaking the language, writing in it or even just listening to the language. All of these will help you become better and increase the grade you achieve.
