I am an enthusiastic history teacher teaching in secondary education with specific training in dyslexia. I like to work with students on revision/exam techniques to develop their historical skills whilst also developing general study skills to help with all subjects.
I have up to date CPD training on exams and have regular updates from the exam baords on the changes to the exam system. I have taught AQA and OCR at GCSE and A-level and have tutored students studying all exam board specifications. I have 8 year tutoring experience working with A-Level and GCSE students. I have 4 year experience marking for AQA and OCR.
Along side this I have regular training with SPLDs specifically dyslexia.
I like to know the exam baord and specific topics that a pupil is studying and this helps to form an individual programe of study over an agreed period. I understand that each person learns in different ways, and I use a serious of researched methods to help learning and imbed life long study skills.
