I am currently undertaking an undergraduate degree on Politics and International Relations at the University of Manchester and I would like to start tutoring. I think it is a great opportunity for me, in order to improve my teaching skills, as I would love to dedicate my post graduate years to it, but also for students who are struggling. As a student I know how stressful exams and classes can get and I would like to help others who are going through what I have already experienced, less than two years ago. I am a native Spanish speaker and got an A* on my Spanish A level, but I can also speak fluent English. I have the Cambridge C1 certificate and have been to a British School, and now University, for most of my life so language will not be a barrier.

Tutoring Experience

I did some work experience at my school, The Canterbury School of Gran Canaria, teaching children the ages of 6 and 7. Likewise, when I am back home from University I help my younger sister with her classes. This is why I have included primary students as I enjoyed teaching them and I am good at helping young children with what they are struggling without losing their attention. Another reason why I believe I can help is because I have already been through GCSEs and A- Levels, as was in a British School, and still have all my books and notes I prepared for the examinations and by having the grades I did in both Business and Spanish I believe I can help students with what they are struggling.

Tutoring Approach

As I've recently graduated from school I have a good insight to what makes students’ performance on their studies improve. I am also flexible to adapting to students needs and hearing their opinions on the classes, what they would change and what they like about them. Right now I would only be able to teach online, as I am home for Christmas, but I am happy to go move around , when possible, if needed when I'm back as I know it is easier for some students to keep focused on the class when it is face to face rather than online.
