Louise

Hi, my name is Louise and I have over 10 years experience tutoring GCSE History, and A Level History and Politics. I have experience teaching at an Undergraduate and Masters level at several UK universities, and also in marking exam papers for AQA, OCR and EdExcel. I am able to offer assistance with all aspects of the National Curriculum for History and Politics, including practice papers, help with coursework and assignments, and exam prep. I'm happy to teach one to one or in a small group and can also teach online courses.

I gained my PhD in 2012 and have Bachelors and Masters degrees in Modern European History and Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a private tutor since 2008 and have taught for all three main exam boards for both politics and history. I also have extensive experience teaching at two leading UK Russell Group universities on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Tutoring Approach

My approach varies depending on the student; for some a more formal method is appropriate, whereas most students benefit from an informal, conversational style approach. I discuss this with parents and students ahead of time to make sure we are all comfortable with the style of lessons.
