I am a friendly and committed person, with a good sense of humour. Outside of my job, I spend a lot of time looking after my rescue animals. I own dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits - certainly an animal lover! I have spent many wonderful holidays traveling Africa and volunteering both with children and wildlife.
I have a PGCE and have been a fully qualified QTS teacher for 11 years. I have taught in a wide variety of schools during this time and have been successful in helping a range of students, in terms of their abilities. I have worked with both Primary and Secondary students and have worked with Adult learners on Access courses.
I am, in addition, an Edexcel A Level Biology Examiner.
I have tutored students in their own homes for the last 4 years and have a number of students with whom I have worked for several years during their school lives.
I am proactive and ensure that I involve students in their own learning. I deliver effective and engaging lessons which are attuned to the student's age and level. I genuinely enjoy teaching and am committed to the success of each and every student with whom I work. I use encouragement and humour in order to increase the confidence of students. I liaise with parents in order to show the progress of the student.
For exam courses, I use past exam papers and the specification in order to maximize success.
I genuinely enjoy teaching!
