Health / Social Care
I am an enthusiastic person who has a real passion for teaching and enjoys working with students on a one-to-one basis. I have a Sociology degree from the University of Bath and a PGCE, which I obtained 9 years ago and have been teaching ever since. I am looking to share my knowledge and help people to achieve their full potential.
I have taught for 8 years now and specialise in Sociology A Level, Psychology GCSE and Health and Social Care BTEC. I teach the AQA syllabus for Sociology and Psychology and have taught all the units. I am also a qualified examiner for A Level Sociology, so I know exactly what is expected of students in their Sociology exam. I also have lead a Health and Social Care department, where we delivered the Edexcel Level 2 BTEC and I have experience of covering both the exam and coursework content on the syllabus.
I like to tailor my sessions to each individual's needs and am very mindful of the fact that everyone learns in different ways. I plan each session based on what is required from the person - whether it be to teach the course content, exam skills or ways to maximise students chances of doing well in their coursework.

My son likes the way she explains things and she is great at giving crucial exam technique advice which is exactly what he needs help with .
After just two sessions he is already much more positive about sociology again .
