I am an experienced and fully qualified teacher whose great love is helping students acquire their full potential i am a great believer in allowing students to get involved in their learning rather than just sitting listening; I am also a current Team Leader for Psychology and assess the quality of marking for GCSE and AS/A2 level exams, as well as marking then myself, therefore i have excellent knowledge about exam questions, preparation and what the exam boards are looking for; I am available both during the day and the evening, and i am prepared to travel; I am prepared to give a taster session to any student to see whether tutoring style is to your liking
I have been classroom teaching for 6 years and also personal tutoring for the last 3 Years including tutoring students through their final year dissertations at university; I have taught A level Psychology (OCR/EdExcel/AQA ) Sociology (AQA/OCR) with great success; I have also extensive experience teaching Health and Social Care at level 1,2 and 3 (BTec 1st and extended diploma, OCR national level 2 and 3) and A level; I recently worked with a student who achieved D D D in her BTEC national Health and Social Care after starting with me on Pass grades. I have also recently been teaching GCSE and A level Citienship and also the Extended Project and have taught key stage 3 History and GCSE RE with great success. Gained 100% pass rate for the June 2013 exam series in Psychology, Citizenship and Sociology AS/A2 level including top grades for many students as well as distinction and A grades in Health and Social Care. Helped final year degree students through their dissertation and exams with great success.
student centred, like the student to get involved in their learning i try to make it fun but obviously the main emphasis is on learning and exam technique; I believe the more a student gets involved in their learning, the more will stick in their memory (using the principles of Psychology) I also place great emphasis on exam technique and essay writing which is vital in Psychology and Sociology
