This is how 2 referees rated Lis:
I am a secondary school teacher, having qualified in 2001. I have worked in a number of different secondary schools, teaching pupils English language and literature from ages 11 - 18 years of age and have substantial experience of working with a variety of different examination boards.
I am also an experienced GCSE external examiner, having marked the summer examination series each year since 2004 and as such, have extensive experience of understanding the examination requirements and can guide pupils to have confidence in tackling their GCSE and A level examinations.
I have been teaching English language and literature since I qualified in 2001. I have worked in a number of different types of secondary schools and have a wide remit of tailoring the tutoring to the individual. My previous exam groups have always been very successful in achieving their target grades. This has been helped by my experience as an external GCSE examiner since 2004, thus enabling me to have a very confident understanding of the exam process and guiding pupils to have confidence in their exam experience.
I am keen to tailor the tutoring experience to the needs of the individual, building their confidence and appreciation of the subject that will assist them throughout their studies and onwards to their examinations.
I have lots of experience of working with a range of different pupils' abilities and am happy to tailor their learning according to their individual needs.

The results speak for themselves with my daughter going from just scraping passes in her mock English literature and language exams at the end of the summer term 2016 to an 8 in each one in the final GCSE exams taken in 2017.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback about your daughter's GCSE exam results. I was thrilled to hear that she had been rewarded such a fantastic result. She worked incredibly hard and and it was justly deserved.
