I am a CELTA graduate and have recently finished my TESOL degree at the University of Stirling, specialising in Applied Linguistics. I speak German as a second language, having completed my undergraduate degree in German, lived there for a year and worked in a German-speaking technical role. I aspire to become a teacher primarily of ESOL, but also German, and share my passion of language with those looking to learn.
I have experience with teaching English in academic and general contexts, along with helping friends and students with their German studies.
My tutoring style is learner-centred. I like to know and understand what my learners want to achieve out of their lessons over the different speaking, reading, writing and listening skills, and tailor their lessons to the goals they are looking to achieve. I believe very much in practising conversation, and learning grammar and vocabulary from real-life situations.
