I have been a teacher for 20 years and now lecture in Primary Education. I spent the 3 years prior to this looking into how children learn language and maths best and then applying this knowledge in classes from Primary 1 to S1. I am extremely knowledgeable in my subject area, calm, patient and believe that learning should be fun and meaningful.
I have taught Primary 1 - S1 but most of my teaching career has been spent in the upper stages. Whilst on secondment for three years, part of my role was to help identify the gaps in children's understanding which may be making progress difficult.
The first session will be a consultation with parent and child/young person to determine their needs. This session is free of charge and there is no obligation to continue thereafter.
I require a quiet space to work at your home.
I suit my teaching style to your child's needs and use a variety of strategies to support them. I am also willing to work one-to-one or in small groups but will tailor the tutoring to each individual, building on what they already understand.
