Personal Description:

I am young technology enthusiast with a vast amount of experience across many technology companies. I have worked within all size or organisation from start-ups to small companies to medium companies all the way to international investment banks.

I have a passion for learning the latest technology and networking with individuals from all backgrounds.

I am comfortable teaching General Computing/Software Development/Networking to all ages and backgrounds.

I have followed the education system all the way from primary school, through college and achieve a first class degree from Strathclyde University in Software Engineering.
I am experienced programmer and confident programming in many languages including C#, Java, Python and JavaScript (including HTML/CSS). I have also experience in requirements gathering, UI and architecture design as well as working with a waterfall and agile team.

Tutoring Experience:

Within my time at Strathclyde University I was a lab/tutorial demonstrator. This involved teaching both second year and third year about specific technology related classes.

This included giving talks to large groups, marking assessments and assisting people struggling with specific parts of the course. I did this for 2 years whist at University.

I currently work for one of the largest investment banks in the world as a Technology Associate. At my organisation we are encourage to give back and help out within the community. I have signed up to be a STEM Ambassador which will allow me to go in to both primary and secondary schools to assist the teacher with the curriculum as well as teaching things that are out with the curriculum which may just be for the pupil’s interests.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple. We learn the way that benefits you the most and which you are most comfortable with.
If there is no preference we can do many approaches such as:
- I'll present and take questions at the end
- Work through coursework
- Work through tests
- Extended discussion on a specify discussion to extend your knowledge
- Pair programming

But due to the nature to teaching computing/technology there is no one approach which all.

I prefer to tutor in person but will teach over video conferencing technologies as well.
