History Of Art
I specialise in tutoring History and History of Art
I can tutor students for GCSE and A level History, specialising in EDEXCEL Nazi Germany, and the Cold War for GCSE, Crimean, Boer and WW1, Stalin's Russia, and the Cold War for AS level EDEXCEL, as well as the French Revolution and Course Work modules for A2 EDEXCEL.
I also tutor Art History to degree standard. I can tutor students of any level.
I am currently studying on the prestigious BA Fine Art Course at Goldsmiths. The course is heavily theory focused with an emphasis on History of Art. Previous to my Fine Art degree I was studying BA History at University College London, and achieved A* grade in History for GCSE and A level. I have run a debating society for a number of years teaching students of all ages how to public speak and debate. I am also mentoring for Debate Mate this academic year; a highly competitive role. I plan to become a teacher post my degree.
Lively, engaging and well prepared, I am an excellent tutor with a range of skills. Being a dyslexic in English and Maths I fully understand the difficulties of learning so am particularly useful for individuals with learning difficulties.
I can provide an excellent reference.
I have my own transport, but also tutor from home.
I mentor for Debate Mate, teaching secondary school students how to public speak and debate.
I successfully tutored one pupil for A level History and helped her attain an A grade and reach the requirements for Exeter University. I can provide an excellent reference.
I have tutored in the past for GCSE History for another student. I can provide a reference.
I have run a school debating society for three years and taught a number of students from a range of ages how to public speak and debate.
I am calm and very patient. I take a very professional approach to tutoring; preparing thoroughly for lessons with material. As a dyslexic I fully appreciate learning difficulties thus adopting a range of learning techniques in order to aid memory retention and understanding.
