I am 75 and retired from full time teaching, but still enjoy tutoring part-time during the day or evening. I live in Kent and my hobbies are largely reading history, playing the classical guitar and listening to music.
From 1972 to 1977 I taught biology and maths at various East-end Comprehensive schools, then For a number of years I taught A level biology and human biology at a number of different Colleges of Further Education. Since 1988 to my retirement I have been teaching Physiology, Pharmacology and Embryology to both degree and masters level at Colleges of complimentary medicine.
My approach is always tutee lead. I do what they want, see how far they get, then , if necessary step in. I always encourage students to experiment, even if it means getting something wrong. Learning from mistakes is very valuable.
