As a fourth year Medical student at Imperial College London pursuing my intercalated BSc in Biomedical Engineering, I would describe myself as friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable. I am very invested in my tutees' development and find it extremely fulfilling to be actively involved in their progress. In my first three years at medical school, I was awarded two distinctions and one merit, ranking in the top 20% of students. In my fourth year at university, I was also a member of the interview panel for medical admissions at Imperial College. At A Level, I achieved 3A*s, and 1A, while at GCSE, I achieved 7A*s, and 3As.
Aside from tutoring Maths and Sciences from primary school to A Levels, I also offer tutoring for BMAT (the entrance exam to top-tier medical schools) as well as one-to-one coaching for prospective medical students from applications to interviews. I love sharing my passion with younger people, and I always aim to inspire a deeper understanding and curiosity.
I have four years of tutoring experience in London, teaching a broad range of subjects and abilities, from primary school up to A level. My particular strengths include Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. I also have experience running tutorials for younger students who were struggling with their GCSEs, and for gifted secondary school students who have an interest in science.
From a young age, I have had a passion for teaching, and at 18 years old, I spent a year teaching weekly first aid to cadets as part of a combined cadet force. This involved providing structured lesson plans, keeping to allocated timings, and keeping a group of roughly ten cadets focused.
My approach to studying is very thorough and structured. My lessons have a clear direction from the beginning, with defined goals in mind. This ensures all necessary material is covered. I also like to encourage active learning by testing students knowledge with a short summary test at the end of each lesson, and a recap test at the beginning of the next lesson. If requested, I am also happy to write weekly, personalised homework for each student, while giving feedback on each lesson to parents.
