Lauren studied at Cardiff School of Art and Design completing a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Textile Design in 2010. She then undertook a PGCE at University of South Wales in 2011, before moving on to teach on BTEC courses in Graphic Communication and Textile Design at Cardiff and Vale College and was the Lead First Year Tutor for the FdA programme, franchised from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Lauren works as a freelance designer specialising in surface pattern design, and had worked on numerous commercial and artistic projects in the UK and Internationally. These projects have collaborations with Ikea and commercial artists, producing original contemporary textile designs, and Desigual, a Spanish design company, creating cutting edge window designs for commercial retail outlets in Europe. She is currently on the MA Artist Teacher programme at Goldsmiths, working with Educators, Artists and Designers on individual and collaborative projects in partnership with the Tate, the Whitechapel and Showroom Galleries, London. Plus Art Education programmes in Valencia, Ibiza, Milan, Berlin, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
Lauren has been based in London working at a leading Independent Sixth Form College in the heart of Westminster as the Lead A Level Graphics and Communications Lecturer, and specialist tutor on the Art Foundation Course.
She has experience teaching English as a Foreign Language, IT and Art and Design practises; Fine Art, Graphic Design, 2D & 3D Making, Photography and Fashion at GCSE KS3, KS4 and KS5 as well as workshops to adults and community led projects.

Lauren adopts a 1-1 approach to her students needs whether preparation for exams, essay/thesis advice and guidance, portfolio building or just learning new skills and techniques as a hobby. Lessons are engaging, relevant and challenging, so that students acquire the necessary skills to flourish personally and academically.
