I am a professional violinist with a background in classical orchestras and chamber ensembles, and also enjoys playing in folk sessions. In addition to playing in prestigious concert halls in London I have also toured Eastern Europe.
I also play with local pianist Paul Sundt, playing a variety of classical sets for weddings, hospitality events and special occasions. Our repertoire typically features the music of Bach, Bizet, Pachelbel and Mozart.
Music has always played a huge role in my life. My father plays the violin and taught me from an early age. It is a fantastic instrument to play which can adapt to so many genres once you know the basics.
I teache violin to all ages and levels and have successfully bought pupils through Associated Board of the Royal School of music grade exams for the past 7 years.
I use various violin methods including Eta Cohen and Suzuki. All lessons are fun and engaging and use games and visual aids for the younger pupils. I tend to split each lesson up into sections looking at improvisation, aural practice, sight reading, theory, study work and scales. It is always good to play not only the classics but other more popular pieces that makes it fun for younger pupils.
Lessons are weekly and practice is expected to be at least 30 mins every day between lessons.
