Computer Studies / I.T.
I am a Qualified Computing Teacher.
I am 24 years of age and find that I have little issue communicating and connecting with my students due to my young age.
I am a happy, chatty human being with a sense of humour that I rely on in my work in order to ensure that I can extract the best from my students, by allowing them to feel comfortable in my presence.
During my undergraduate Computing degree I took a module referred to as "Coaching Learners" module as part of my degree, which involved assisting in Level 4 (first year of degree) Programming classes as well as running a support session for first and second year students. This also provided an education on how best to educate A-Level and Degree Level students.
I have completed my PGCE in Secondary Computer Science and ICT and am qualified to educate 11 to 16 year olds in Computer Science. I have not long exited a job due to severe travel complications though I thoroughly enjoyed working with the variety of students. As such, prices are flexible if the student is GCSE Level and previously known to me.
I have undertaken work experience which allowed me to work with A-Level and GCSE students within the Maths department of the college where I completed my A-Level Mathematics.
I also have two weeks of previous work experience with a primary school working with children on their basic skills.
My approach to tutoring is flexible - I much prefer to establish the needs of each individual student and cater my teaching style to suit them. I will take the time, before beginning tutoring, to meet each student, and their families, to establish a method and plan best suited to them.
I can and will travel to homes or local libraries and if need be I also offer Online tutoring, allowing students to contact me as and when they require it.
I prefer to utilise cloud storage to share and communicate work as it offers a unique educatory experience. I believe and have witnessed that students find this easy to use as it allows them to access work anywhere and recieve feedback from marked work as soon as I have completed it - allowing them to prepare before discussing this with me.
