I am an experienced and enthusiastic Spanish and Italian teacher with an BA in Modern Languages and a diploma in Strategies for Students with Learning Disabilities. I was born in Venezuela and moved to Italy when I was 13, and this international background has allowed me to become perfectly bilingual.
I have taught Spanish and Italian to many different age groups over the last 15 years. Starting initially at university where I began my teaching career as a private tutor and, after this first course of study, I taught Spanish and Italian in several schools in Europe. Furthermore I have also pursued my interest in teaching to an advance academic level with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience of Language.
I have successfully taught students of differing levels of ability, adapting materials and teaching strategies to suit student’s needs whilst creating a pleasant learning environment that ensured the best possible progress. I have taught in a number of challenging teaching environments and this has equipped me with tolerance and patience. I also believe in valuing each student as an individual, and ensuring that different learning styles are accounted and planned for over the period students are under my duty of care.
