Bolton Tutor

I am an enthusiastic primary school teacher with a passion to teach. I absolutely love my job and all the challenges involved with being a teacher. I am a mother of 3 children who's ages range from 1-8 so I understand how important a child's development is across different stages. I am approachable and friendly and I have high expectations of all my learners. I believe a growth mindset allows learners to develop and believe they can achieve more. I therefore provide the tools they need to get there and independent strategies to take with them in the future.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a 2:1 in primary education BA Hons. I have worked across all year groups in my 11 years of teaching and developed strategies to help accelerate learning in each year group. I have specialised in many foundation primary subject areas and implemented practises to support the progress across my own primary school.
I have tutored children in their entrance exams into private schools and am well aware of the work it takes to get a child at the right level for this.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in every child I teach. I don't believe in the word 'can't'. The primary school years are the most crucial for starting a child off on the right path therefore I help children understand their learning is based on their mindset and their own self belief. I am approachable and open discussions to make sure work has been understood and children can explain their thinking and reasoning for their choices.

I aim for learning to be as fun as possible but make sure I can track the progress and accelerate the learning of each child I teach. My tutoring is personal to the learner and their individual needs to help them in their future academic years.
