I am a Modern Languages graduate fluent in German and English and a native Italian speaker. I am exceptionally passionate about languages and cultures of the world and I would endeavour to provide an excellent contribution to UK tutees.
My qualifications in the linguistic field include an honours degree in German and English from the University of Palermo, a PGCE in secondary language teaching, and a CELTA from the Berlin School of English and a Lehramt, which is the Austrian State Teacher Training Course for English. I have also worked as an AQA moderator for the German GCSE oral examinations 2011.

Tutoring Experience

I am an Italian native speaker and a secondary school teacher of Italian, German and EAL with more than ten years of language teaching experience in UK secondary schools and colleges. Here I have prepared students for their GCSE, AS/A2 and IB abinitio examinations and have led the GCSE German and Italian spoken examination and the AS and IB spoken Italian mock examinations in different occasions. I have also been running several Italian beginner and intermediate classes to adults at Colchester Institute.

Tutoring Approach

In my tuition I like to combine the CELTA and the PGCE theories and I also ensure I include V.A.K activities to cater for different learning types, as well as covering different skills, like speaking, writing, reading and listening. I also enjoy sharing with my students authentic materials of the language I teach like food and drinks, songs, films etc.
