I graduated from Swansea University with a 2:1 History BA and have a very strong passion for the subject.
I'm currently studying the GDL at BPP University, which shares many similarities with History in terms of transferable skills.
My previous areas of study include:
The Atlantic Slave Trade (and after-affects on America)
Slavery and the American South
Tsar Nicholas II and the Romanov Dynasty
The Cold War
The Presidency of John F. Kennedy
History of Film
I'm also open to doing my own research into other topics I'm not familiar with if need be.
I have no formal teaching experience, but I have had work experience in schools and I've helped and encourage peers as well as younger relatives with either History or English Literature (as they are my strongest subjects).
I do understand the subject can appear overwhelming, but between both the exam and coursework it all boils down to the structure, application of research and the analytical skill of the answer.
I would prefer to be more flexible and engaging as opposed to teaching the syllabus itself, so I'm happy to go over or plan essays, exam preparation and refining general skills.
