Evesham Tutor

I am an avid academic who has specialized in the ancient Mediterranean civilizations. I have always found the study of ancient civilizations to be fascinating; so much so, that I even spent three years studying Egyptology in Egypt. It has always been my desire to learn as much about the world and its peoples as I possibly could, and to pass that information to others. I am also a keen reader, in wide variety of subjects including archaeology, history, ancient history, medieval history, psychology, historical fiction, science fiction, popular fiction, and many more. My love of ancient history has also lead me to pursue the writing of historical fiction. I also harbor a great love of music, and I have been an amateur musician for many years, specializing in Flute.

Tutoring Experience

Throughout my academic career I have proctored numerous university courses, and I have independently been tutoring a wide range students, in varying subjects (general maths, science, ancient history, history, geography, English, fiction writing) for over a decade. I also experience working with students that require more special needs, and individualized tuition due to learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, and ADHD.

Tutoring Approach

I have a very open approach to tutoring, which is highly dependent upon not only the subject matter, but the individual student. I approach tutoring on an individual basis. This means that when I first meet a potential student, I begin by analyzing their particular needs, and from there I develop a lesson plan to meet the needs of that student. I am always happy to provide a free consultation meetings for any prospective students, and to answer any questions.
