I am degree educated individual. From a young age up to my A level studies I underwent tutoring myself for various subjects. Having done this I understand the benefit and support a tutor can provide and would present me with an opportunity to offer this to current students.
Also I have various work experience in the past which I am sure will help me to succeed as Removed tutor. Such as being a Stock Manager gave me the responsibility of mentoring and managing staff and thus helping me develop my people communication skills. As well as this all my roles have being high pressured roles where I am expected to deliver by deadlines and be highly organised, all of which and more are important skillsets for a tutor
Helped in a classroom with Year 2 children. Assisting in groups with tasks set by the teacher.
Did this as work experience for a year, once a week.
All individuals have a preference in regards to their learning, and this will vary from student to student. The important thing is understanding the individual students preference and changing approach from student to student.
Also everyone learns at a different pace which is a great benefit of one on one tutoring as it allows the student to learn at their own pace and not be rushed along as a whole classroom. So patience is a very important factor to consider as it may not be a case of the student not getting it they just need more time and practice to understand a certain thing.
Also Work can be presented to students in various forms yet it can still be the same work. Knowing your student and understanding what they respond to is important to delivering the work to them.
