I really enjoy reading , both the classics and modern novels. I also enjoy watching films, again both old and new. I enjoy going to the theatre whenever I have the opportunity. I have two young sons so much of my time is taken up with them and all their different interests.
I have been teaching for sixteen years at a range of schools, specialising at A Level English Literature and Media in the last ten years. I have also been an examiner for A Level Englsh Literature for eight years. I have taught pupils of a range of abilities.
I have a great enthusiasm for my subjects and it is this that I want to pass on to the students that I teach. I also feel it is very important for students to have a very good understanding of what exams require in order for them to do well and I would therefore make this a priority when teaching.
Listening to the student and understanding their areas of interest or topics where they feel they have weaknesses is also very important for me as then I can ensure the tutoring sessions are as useful as possible
