I am a graduate from conservatoire drama school Queen Margaret University with a BA in Acting and Performance.
I studied GCSE drama and gained 100% in my final grade. I also studied Theatre Studies and Performing Arts and also got A's in both subjects.
I regularly teach at youth theatre working with both primary and secondary children, teaching them skills and also directing them in shows.
I am a working actor so I have a lot of experience in auditions and audition technique and have a lot of knowledge of applying to drama schools and what they look for in initial auditions.
I have taught secondary school children in a special need school. I worked with children with all kinds of disabilities mental and physical and ran drama workshops with them.
I have worked in different Youth Theatre Groups in Cheshire and Edinburgh and taught both primary and secondary school ages. I teach the children stage skills and acting techniques and also work with them to put on a show at the end of the year.
I have also been a one to one tutor for a young girl who suffers from Cerebral Palsy. I was her teaching assistant in school and also at home. Adapting and helping her out with tasks so that she was able to learn and join in.
In drama I understand that there is a theoretical approach but there is also a practical approach.
I will allow my student to work at their own pace but also encourage them when it’s needed.
I will work out the student’s individual needs and focus on the areas of the subject that is important to them and also adapt what is necessary to their needs.
