Information About Kimberley - Renfrew tutor - (5 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Kimberley:
I have a BA Honours degree in English Studies and History from Stirling University and have extensive experience and knowledge of Education. I am equipped to cover all stages of the Scottish curriculum and have prepared units of work to hand for both English and History.
I studied for the diploma in education alongside my degree, attaining all the necessary component units, as well as classroom teaching experience. I have been tutoring periodically for several years in a variety of subjects. I have taught in both Local Authority schools and in the private sector at college level. I have specialist experience and training in autism and a number of other additional support needs.
I like to get to know my students in order that I can tailor our sessions to their particular needs. I respect my students and like them to feel at ease with me so make myself as approachable as I can. I offer continuous formative assessment and work with my student to develop their full potential. I expect my students to communicate openly with me and welcome their thoughts on how our sessions might be developed and tailored to further suit their individual needs. I encourage my students to take an active role and often agree to use texts they suggest as a basis for study.
