My name is Khevana and I am a second year Medicinal and Biological Chemistry student at the University of Nottingham. I have an extremely strong background in STEM subjects following my A levels in Maths,Biology and Chemistry and also an AS in Physics.
At university I am a part of many societies some of which interlink with my hobbies such as Belly dancing, street dance, Chemistry society and sometimes participate in sporting activities like netball and badminton! Away from university, back at home, I have my part time job at a microbiology lab which I've been an employee at for over a year and a half.
Working with this site for the last year has improved my teaching skills, I have learnt a lot about paitence and methods of teaching and look forward to teaching more students.
I have previously been involved with GCSE level in-school tutoring. The levels of responsibility varied as sometimes I was asked to plan a whole lesson for a class of 30 and sometimes I was asked to just carry out one-to-one catch up sessions. This greatly improved my skills as a tutor because I was exposed to the different types of students and had to adapt to best suit them at that time.
I am willing to adapt to any type of learning an individual student require. I myself have spent a lot of time time trying to get used to different methods of learning to see which works best for me whilst revising; I would be more than happy to go through these methods to help you with your studies and of course I look forward to patiently teaching the subjects I am passionate about.
As long as you are in the Nottingham area I am happy to travel to you, alternatively I can teach via skype.
