This is how 2 referees rated Khalila:
I am a German native speaker with a Diploma in Education Science and qualified to teach German as a foreign language. After lots of travelling (Southern Africa, Iceland and Morocco) I've now been living in the UK for two years and I host language students coming to Norwich from all over the world.
I greatly enjoy teaching German at the adult education centre at Wensum Lodge here in Norwich, focussing on German classic literature and music, and have gained some experience in tutoring young people.
I tutor ladies/girls only, and since each person has a different approach to learning, I develop an individual learning scheme with each tutee. I start off by finding "the gaps", i.e. what we need to focus on, and also the special interests of the tutee. This is an important step in my approach because it makes it easier for the learner to practice the language by means of topics meaningful to her. I do also offer a list of topics to choose from, e.g. cooking and baking, classical literature and music, travelling, society and education.
I then use games to help exercising what is required of grammar, and interesting stories, articles, poetry and song lyrics (depending on the student) as a basis for our reading, writing and speaking. The listening part should be covered by me using the target language whenever possible, and by occasionally watching snippets of movies in German.
Homework will be on a voluntary basis, and usually my students find the exercises I give them rather helpful.
