Own music business for 6 years working with schools and employment agencies. Awarded Winner of European Social Funds, supporting unemployed through music. Taught music as supply teacher KS2 to KS4.
Udemy courses for online training in Guitar Repair and Computer Programming (Python). Played in several bands in UK and USA, bass and electric (rhythm, lead and slide).
Played in many bands, taught by ex Showaddywaddy guitarist, played alongside Kermit of Black Grape, Rick Martinez of Hawkwind and the ex bassist for Robert Plant's Big Log solo album.
Computer Science:
I currently teach OCR J277 Computer Science, GCSE. Python Programming. Passed the GCSE Teacher Accelerated course for Computing, 96%. Exam Moderator from 2012 to 2022.
I use a combination of practical and explanation as I recognize there's nothing more effective than 'having a go' to get it under your belt.
A sensitive, positive and encouraging approach at the right level for you, identifying the missing gaps and where you want or need to take the learning.
