I am a strategy and legal professional, working in the City of London. I have a legal background being a Law graduate (King's College London, 2012) and Post Graduate, Legal Practice qualified (BPP Law School, 2013). I have been a personal tutor and mentor for just over 9 years. I enjoy seeing others excel and develop. Providing easy access to learning is extremely important to me. Asides from advancing my professional career, I love to travel and volunteer. My wealth of travelling experience provides me with a real appreciation for other cultures and has thus nurtured my ability to communicate with people from all ages and backgrounds.
I live in the London Borough of Ealing but willing to travel (expenses covered).
I have tutored for just over 9 years in English Language, English Literature and Maths, 7 years in Sociology and 6 years in Law. I've taught English Literature and Language in the UK and overseas from primary level through to adult level. My teaching experience varies from one on one to classrooms of 20 students.
I was a tutor for a company called Debate Mate for two years; my students were always keen to come back to my debating classes due to the relationship built. I think it is important to build a rapport with my students so they feel at ease to ask as many questions as possible to increase their development.
I have experience of working with dyslexic children, helping them with English and general confidence building skills. I am familiar with all exam boards (AQA / Edexcel etc).
I am approachable and friendly, making my students feel at ease and comfortable to ask questions. Nevertheless, I am firm and challenging to ensure that they are taking their studies seriously and are working to their full potential. I use different teaching mechanisms to prevent a loss of concentration and boredom! I ensure that I provide tailored classes for all my individual tutees. My ultimate goal is to ensure my students achieve their full potential academically whilst always pushing the boundaries of their capability.
