Information About Katherine - Wigston tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Katherine:
My name is Katherine and I’m a qualified secondary English teacher working in a reputable school within the county.
I like to encourage children to thrive in English through the use of a high standard of literature throughout history to encourage discussion and debate.
Teaching for six years and previously working within the banking sector within training and recruitment, I have experience of teaching KS3, GCSE and A level, working at a consistently high success rate for GCSE pass rates following intervention.
Additionally, I work on a freelance basis writing publications and resources for a range of companies such as the Times, Innovate, The University of Birmingham and was a key contributor to BBC Bitesize during their redesign project. I coordinate a national resource project for over 2000 teachers, ensuring teachers use resources of a high standard within the classroom.
I like to carry out an initial assessment of needs with your child, to ensure that the tutoring framework is designed to meet their particular needs. Once this first (free of charge) visit is carried out, I will draw up a six week recommendation of sessions that will motvate and challenge your child to work at three full potential.
I currently run a Summer six week catch up programme (Monday and Wednesday daytime availability) to support children to start the next academic year with confidence and capability in English.
