I have experience working with students of all ages and I have a degree in French and Spanish.
I love France and Spain and I have spent time in both countries. I enjoy listening to music by French and Hispanic artists as well.
I am a fully qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher and I have been teaching in secondary schools for 10 years. I have taught both French and Spanish at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 and had positive results.
I understand the new GCSE specification as I have not only taught it this year, but also I have marked for AQA GCSE Spanish this year.
In terms of Primary experience, I have previously worked as a liaison between secondary and primary and taught French and Spanish to classes within primary schools.
I have done tutoring previously where I have worked with adults and families to learn Spanish.
My approach to tutoring very much depends on what the student requires. Depending on your level/stage of learning I would start with a small assessment to discover where your strengths and, perhaps more importantly, your areas for improvement lie.
I believe in a holistic approach to study of languages and would prefer to cover at least three of the four key skills in a lesson (listening, speaking, reading and writing), but I understand that a student may have their own requirements and would discuss with you.
