Personal Description:

Hello! I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist. I have completed a degree in English Language and Linguistics, and a postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy. I am currently completing an MSc and have relevant tutoring experience at GCSE and A level standards. I am fun, approachable and creative, and always aim to help students achieve the best they can. I am also experienced in helping students with study skills, organisation and working out the best way to revise for them. Additionally, at A level transitioning to University level, I am able to help with personal statements, university choices and career paths.

Tutoring Experience:

I have previous teaching experience, having tutored students English Language and Literature at GCSE level, and English Language at A level. My current training provides me with opportunities to teach, with a clinical perspective, and to support individuals with speech and language difficulties. My additional A levels in History and Art, give me extra experience in these areas.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a collaborative approach with the student and family towards tutoring. I believe it is important that the sessions are student focused, with clear goals and session aims, in order to achieve a long term goal. The key to achievement is confidence, and I believe instilling confidence in students, by establishing the best methods that work for them is the best approach. Overall, a fun, student-centred and creative approach will help the student to achieve their goals.
