I am a highly approachable teacher who has many years experience. I am an excellent communicator and in all previous teaching roles, my ability to build positive and effective relationships with students has been praised. I have high expectations of students and will adopt a range of teaching methods to engage and develop students so that they can achieve their very best. In addition to teaching experience I have held numerous positions in industry most recently as National Marketing Officer for the Forestry Commission's outdoor music program and in other roles such as HR support for British Gas, marketing support for a computer software company and Events Organiser for Hilton hotels.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher of Business and Economics at both GCSE and A' Level. With over 15 years experience in the classroom, I have taught modular and linear, coursework and examination specifications. Furthermore, I have worked as Subject Manager for Business and Economics for many years and acted as Second in Department for the Social Sciences faculty whilst a colleague was on sabbatical. Furthermore, I have several years experience marking exam papers for both AQA and OCR at GCSE and A' Level. I have therefore developed a good understanding of what examiners are looking for in student responses.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in setting high expectations, developing student confidence by adopting an approach to learning that is suited to each individual student that helps them progress and achieve. I am approachable and friendly but expect the student to work hard and contribute to their own development alongside my input.
