The homework has been a lot to complete (and mark) over a short period of time, to ensure she is at the required level to be able to confidently sit her 13+ exams and have the necessary knowledge to do so as well - which I am pleased to say is most definitely the case.

Karen has been working with my son to provide him with tutoring for his A Level Chemistry for a few months and I believe he is already seeing benefits in his work at college. She is extremely well organised structuring the sessions and additional work around the areas he is having most problems with. He finds that she can spend more time explaining concepts that they may rush over in class so he has a deeper understanding.

As a parent I have found her feedback on his progress clear and comprehensive.

Hard to give a higher rating after a short time but I am confident that he is benefiting and would be happy to provide further feedback in future.

Update August 2017: - Fantastic news that Noah received an A for his A level chemistry and can go to his first choice university. He said that he could not have done it without my help. The time spent tutoring Noah has paid off and clearly with me identifying and then focussing on the key areas he was short falling on supported with specific homework questions each week covering what we completed in lessons, has worked well.

Dec 2016 : -Thank you for providing feedback for my tutoring of your son over the last few months. He has made some excellent progress with the topics which he listed as requiring support with and it is clear that he is now much more confident with tackling A2 and AS chemistry questions which have these aspects in them. We have also worked on a number of other areas which have come to light as shortfalls in his knowledge and worked on these too so that he can now answer questions more fully to gain maximum marks. Please feel free to provide further feedback at a later stage after more tutoring has taken place.

I have found Karen to be extremely professionally in her tutoring. she seems to click with the children and teach them in the way that they understand, rather than the way an ordinary teacher teaches. my child has been exceptionally happy when she has been to the tutor.
Time will tell if my child builds up a love for the sciences - I have always said that its not the subject but the person who teaches it. In this case I believe that my child will build that love for the subjects because the teacher makes it interesting.

Your feedback is much appreciated and thank you for providing it. I agree with yourr comment about teachers as they can inspire those taking science by helping them understand it so they seek and learn more, or switch them off from it which is such a shame.
