I am a current medical student at Kings College London, providing online and in person academic tutoring.
Having successfully passed my 11+ exams I was offered a place at Wallington County Grammar School , going on to complete my secondary school education achieving 9 A*s and 3 A's at GCSE level. Additionally in my A Levels I achieved A*AA (in Biology, Maths and Chemistry.)
I have been tutoring since the age of 16, with experience working in tuition centres and also through one to one teaching. I teach from KS2-KS4, varying from primary school level to GCSE. My combination of tutoring experience and an A* academic record provides me with an in depth knowledge of subject curriculum. I specialise in Maths, Biology and Chemistry but also provide mentoring and application advice for prospective medical students applying through UCAS.
I take my job extremely seriously to obtain optimum results for my students. I teach via a pyramid scheme, starting off by building a solid foundation of subject knowledge, followed by my students being able to explain these key concepts thoroughly as well as polishing this knowledge with practice questions and regular assessments to improve exam technique and confidence.
On my first visit I will provide a short test for my students to assess their strengths and weaknesses, which allows me to compile a list of topics to work on. I also encourage regular assessments every couple of weeks to track progress which ensures all my students get the support they deserve.
