Personal Description:

I am 31 years old, I have been teaching mathematics & physics for last 7-8 years, out of which 5-6 years in UK. I have graduated from IIT Kharagpur, which is one of the well known universities in world. For those of you, who are familiar with Indian education system, will know how good you need to be in maths and science in order to get into this university. In India I used to help students preparing for IIT entrance exam.

Recently I have also won PGS ABEL math’s competition, which got me a chance to attend the ABEL award ceremony 2013 in Oslo and meet this year's ABEL prize winner Dr. Pierre Deligne.

Professionally I am a Geophysicist and work for an Oil company in weybridge. I have special affection towards mathematics and I love teaching mathematics which I do in my spare time. This is what has brought me here

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching mathematics & physics for last 7-8 years, out of which 5-6 years in UK. In India I used to help students preparing for IIT entrance exam. In UK I have been teaching maths and physics for student at various stages i.e key stage 3, GCSE, A level, degree level etc. I teach core maths (C1, C2, C3, C4) statistic (S1, S2), Mechanics (M1, M2) and Future pure modules (FP1, FP2, FP3).

I have also taught higher mathematics to some university students. The topic include differential equation, operation research, statistics etc.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel very sad when people say that Mathematics is very difficult or boring subject. I believe Maths can be boring or fun depending on the way it is taught. This is where tutor has role to play. I think every student is different and subject need to be taught according to their interest and requirement. For example many concepts in mathematics can be understood by playing various small games, which will interest many students.
