I am passionate about education, helping students to unlock their potential. My experience spans from being a trained actress to working in the music and film industry as a marketeer and in production. I come from East London, having worked my way up to a production manager, producer, and marketing manager. I was part of the team in the 80's that launched compact video through Philips and PolyGram. After having my children I had the opportunity to become a teacher of speech and drama. It is teaching I enjoy most. Watching the students unlock their potential and grow in confidence.
Worked in private Performing Arts Academy as Head of Drama teaching children from 7 years old up to adults. In addition was an arts tutor touring primary schools developing performing arts. Worked as curriculum leading in outer London secondary school teaching drama up to A level. At present working as an English and Drama teacher in another secondary school.
My approach is to assess the needs of the students. Personally it is essential to develop a rapport with the child to develop confidence and engagement. My belief that learning is a process. One needs to identify the skills for the task, develop them and apply. I have a belief 'you are better than you think you are'. I like to instil this in the students to unlock any barriers.
