I took my degree in English Studies at the University of East Anglia in 1996 and continue to live in the city. I have worked with children and young people since then. I am interested in and enjoy working with people from all cultures.
I am an experienced tutor with a vast range of experience in working with children and young people. My teaching experience includes working at City of Norwich School as Academic tutor in English. I have also prepared sudents for GCSE e exams at Hethersett high school and worked with EAL and dyslexic students at Hewett high school.
My tutees include primary school children and GCSE students. I am experienced in tutoring for resit exams and in preparing for common entrance papers.
My primary subject is English.including Language, Literature, and handwriting. My specialism is in Creative Writing ,which formed part of my degree from University of East Anglia and is a renowned centre of excellence in this field.
Another area of specialism is the study of Shakespeare texts for GCSE, putting thm into context and decoding the language.
I have had a large experience of working one- to- one with a diverse niumber of students. I am passionate about teaching my subjects and enjoy working with children and young people.
The sessions are relaxed but structured where learning is fun and focused. As well as preparing children for common entrance and GCSE exams,
I am experienced in working with vulnerable children and dyslexia students. All sessions are planned for the individual capacities of the student.
