I was fortunate enough to study Economics when I was 16 and I found the subject fascinating as it explained so much about the world around me. I had an excellent teacher and from that moment, I wanted to pass my knowledge and give students the same motivation/buzz I had received.
Economics is an even more relevant in our society today- it helps you to make well balanced and informed decisions on issues such as Europe, Politics in general and is an excellent foundation for many career choices.
Thirty years of experience teaching A-level Economics.
Fifteen years of experience teaching GCSE Economics.
Additional experience in teaching GCSE Sociology/ A-level Sociology, A-level Politics, A-level Psychology and Social Science modules in A-level General studies.
I have been a private tutor for two years now.

I have consistently achieved 'Excellent' and 'Very Good' for class room teaching.
Being a parent myself I understand the academic and emotional pressures which occur at this level.
I teach students at home, in a relaxed and comfortable environment and begin with an initial session where students identify areas of difficulty.I explain economic theory in relation to current events which I regard as crucial in improving understanding.
Homework is set each lesson to encourage practice and learning, and passed exam questions/mark schemes are integral to my teaching approach. Lessons are tailed to individual needs.
