I am a second-year law undergraduate student at Cardiff University. I am also an international student from Malaysia, who is proficient in English, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese. I genuinely enjoy helping others to learn.
I have had previous informal experience tutoring peers as well as juniors in various subjects, including but not limited to mathematics, biology, Bible knowledge, English literature, and history.
I adopt a methodological and systematic approach to tutoring. For example, I will begin each lesson with a lesson plan and work through the material with the tutee, ensuring active engagement instead of one-sided teaching. I firmly believe in a growth mindset (as opposed to talent mindset), which means that every single individual has great capacity to learn and realize their potential; doing well in academic studies is not just for the 'naturally intelligent'.
